Counselling

Throughout our counselling sessions, I will help you to find a pathway to increased self-awareness and feeling more positive about yourself.

Do you need support to make a change in your life or overcome difficulty?

We all need support in life from time to time. Counselling often starts with a difficult situation, symptoms that are causing distress, change you are finding hard to cope with or, an awareness of wanting something different in life.

By providing a safe and supportive space, counselling enables you to become more aware of yourself, your patterns, subconscious beliefs, feelings and a deeper sense of identity. Through this awareness, there is an opportunity to consider choices at a more conscious level.

Exercises and techniques support the process giving you more confidence and self-empowerment to overcome difficulties and embrace change. Most people report after counselling feeling a greater understanding of themselves and more confident and positive about the future.

I can help you work with:

  • Building self-esteem, confidence and self-empowerment

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Improving relationships and coping with endings

  • Bereavement

  • Trauma and building resilience

  • Low mood and depression

  • Finding happiness, peace or a new direction in life

  • Exploring meaning and purpose

  • Spiritual awakening and personal development

  • Work and academic difficulties

  • Working towards self-acceptance and self-love and coping with physical illness and disability.

My Approach to Counselling

I work integratively incorporating various different approaches into my core training of Psychosynthesis. Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal approach working with the Mind, Body and Spirit. As well as exploring difficulties, it also holds the possibility of what might be emerging from a higher perspective.

I bring a blend of all of my experiences and trainings along with my passion and dedication to the work that I do. Establishing a human-to-human connection that provides you with a safe place to explore at your own pace, along with tailoring an approach to your unique circumstances and beliefs is fundamental to our success.

As well as helping you to manage symptoms and difficulties through healthier strategies, I also offer working towards self-acceptance and self-love for a longer-term approach to happiness. I work both short term and long term, face-to-face and remotely.

 Pricing and how it works

I work on both a short-term or longer-term basis face-to-face, via telephone or zoom. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes. I charge £55 per session. Concessions are sometimes available – please enquire.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session for us to determine mutually if we’d like to work together. It’s important with any counselling relationship that it feels right for both parties and I will always be honest if I believe an alternative form of support may be more suitable. After the introductory session, there is no obligation or pressure to work with me - I value your honesty and ability to make the decision that is right for you. Get in touch to discuss.
