Counselling

Whether you’re facing something challenging or desiring a more positive future, I aim to help you work towards self-acceptance and self-love for a more lasting and fulfilling way to find more peace, happiness, confidence and to feel more positive about life.

Do you need support to make a change in your life or overcome difficulty?

We all need support in life from time to time. Counselling often starts with a difficult situation, symptoms that are causing distress, change you are finding hard to cope with or, an awareness of wanting something different in life.

By providing a safe and supportive space, counselling enables you to become more aware of yourself, your patterns, subconscious beliefs, feelings and a deeper sense of identity. Through this awareness, there is an opportunity to consider choices at a more conscious level.

Exercises and techniques support the process giving you more confidence and self-empowerment to overcome difficulties and embrace change. Most people report after counselling feeling a greater understanding of themselves and more confident and positive about the future.

I can help you work with:

  • Building self-esteem, confidence and self-empowerment

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Improving relationships and coping with endings

  • Bereavement

  • Trauma

  • Building resilience

  • Low mood and depression

  • Finding happiness, peace or a new direction in life

  • Exploring meaning and purpose

  • Spiritual awakening and personal development

  • Work and academic difficulties

  • Working towards self-acceptance and self-love and coping with physical illness and disability.

  • Embodiment work

  • Growing compassion

My Approach to Counselling

I work integratively incorporating various different approaches into my core training of Psychosynthesis. Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal approach working with the Mind, Body and Spirit. As well as exploring difficulties, it also holds the possibility of what might be emerging from a higher perspective.

I bring a blend of all of my experiences and trainings along with my passion and dedication to the work that I do. Establishing a human-to-human connection that provides you with a safe place to explore at your own pace, along with tailoring an approach to your unique circumstances and beliefs is fundamental to our success.

As well as helping you to manage symptoms and difficulties through healthier strategies, I also offer working towards self-acceptance and self-love for a longer-term approach to happiness. I work both short term and long term, face-to-face and remotely.

When requested, I also link my spiritual coaching work into my counselling. I am passionate about blending spirituality within strong psychological roots for longer term healthier growth in a way that is tailored to your belief system. This may be especially relevant for anyone who is looking for a breakthrough approach, would like to work at new depths; highly sensitive and empathic individuals and anyone drawn to working with a more heart-based approach. • “My experience with Natalie has been very positive indeed. She has helped me overcome a major obstacle in my life and provided me with the knowledge and confidence to tackle other issues as and when they arise. I feel optimistic about the future now and for that I am extremely grateful. I would go so far to say that the time I spent with Natalie has been life changing.”

  • “I feel incredibly lucky to have found a counsellor who I could connect with, open up to and feel inspired by. I now have clarity and more self-worth, I am kinder to myself and no longer strive to be the perfect friend, partner or mother. Just the best version of me on that day.”

  • “I am incredibly glad I took that first positive step to seek help, and I don’t think that I could have found a more supportive, kind and reassuring therapist. I think I have come a long way and found a new perspective and ways of managing a number of previously difficult emotions. Thank you Natalie, you have helped me enormously and I am very grateful.”

  • “I’ve found my counselling experience invaluable. It really has changed my life for the better and I would recommend Natalie to anyone who is feeling lost and directionless.”

  • “My counselling experience with Natalie has made a massive impact on me and helped me through some emotional and difficult times. I gained confidence in myself and realised I am no longer scared of my feelings. I’ve learned how to manage my anxiety and to find love and compassion within myself.”

  • “I found counselling very enriching and Natalie to be an incredibly compassionate therapist. I didn’t feel judged on my thoughts or feelings and felt I was in a safe place to openly express what I felt. Natalie was supportive while giving me space to progress to my own conclusions. Thank you for your time, patience and understanding.”

 Pricing and how it works

I work on both a short-term or longer-term basis face-to-face, via telephone or zoom. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes. I charge £70 per session. Concessions are sometimes available for a variety of reasons including reduced income and students – please enquire.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session for us to determine mutually if we’d like to work together. It’s important with any counselling relationship that it feels right for both parties and I will always be honest if I believe an alternative form of support may be more suitable. After the introductory session, there is no obligation or pressure to work with me - I value your honesty and ability to make the decision that is right for you. Get in touch to discuss.

If you’ve already done some work on yourself, are looking for something more than counselling or are looking to shift to a new level, please see my 3 month Love Transforms programme which allows you the freedom to go at your pace (videos and homestudy) whilst also receiving support and guidance where you need (one-to-one).
