A four-part workshop designed to help you find your own unique style of meditation. Find out more about the benefits of meditation, trial a variety of different meditation techniques and from this create your own style of meditation that works best for you. It’s suitable for both beginners and improvers or anybody who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or find more peace in their life. I’ve also designed it so that you get to work on aspects of yourself in the process so you can also bring about positive changes to your life.

I’ve run this course successfully for over a decade in person and as an online group. It’s now available online for you to benefit from the comfort of your own home and at a pace that suits you. You don’t need to be spiritual or religious to benefit from the course and equally you might be.

Your Facilitator

Natalie Read is an experienced counsellor, facilitator and coach with +25 years’ experience of running groups and workshops in a variety of psychoeducational, spiritual and corporate topics. Natalie is passionate about finding ways to bring more happiness, peace and meaning to her own life and help others do the same. She is also the author of Being Human - the path to self-acceptance resilience and happiness which includes access to 12 guided meditations. 

My first experiences of meditation were admittedly not very successful. I struggled immensely to quieten my mind and felt that I was not doing it right. I continued to persevere in search of a method that could help me and found guided meditations the most beneficial at that time. When I trained as a counsellor, working with guided imagery and meditation was part of the syllabus and gave me a good grounding alongside the broad range of meditation techniques and experiences I’ve gained in my 25+ years of personal and spiritual development.

I’ve learnt that there is no right way and that we are all different and I hope that in enjoying this course, you will find what works best for you and recognise that that is “perfect” instead of any notions of the opposite. Whilst I have a leaning to all things spiritual, I’ve designed this workshop to be suitable for any belief system. 

What’s Included?

There are four different parts to the course, intended to be completed weekly to allow you time to practice and refine the techniques in between. Each week follows a different theme including:

  • Reducing stress and anxiety

  • Improving health and well-being

  • Increasing connection to your inner wisdom

  • Helping increase connection with others.

During each session, I will share some information and theory about how meditation can help each of the different themes, provide a variety of different techniques for you to experiment with including: body awareness, mantra, object, mindfulness and guided meditations.

In the final week, we will bring everything together so that you can determine your optimum meditation style drawing on a blend of the different techniques that you have learnt as well as create a self-coaching plan to help you make meditation part of your life ongoing.

An added benefit that many people report from participating in this course is their surprise in how much it helped them find out more about themselves. The course is designed to help you connect to more of your inner wisdom and work on aspects of yourself that might be helpful.
